Walking Francigena Ultramarathon 2026
On 10 and 11 October 2026, the Walking Francigena Ultramarathon returns for its 10th edition: a unique walking experience along one of Europe’s most fascinating historic routes.
The non-competitive event follows the Via Francigena from Siena to Acquapendente, through the landscapes and historic towns of Tuscany and Lazio.
Participants can choose from 10 different routes, suitable for different levels of experience: from shorter 15 km walks to the 130 km Grande Sfida, the complete route from Siena to Acquapendente, including a night section.
Whether you are taking on one of the shorter stages or challenging yourself over a longer distance, the event is an opportunity to experience the Via Francigena through sport, nature, history and discovery.
